We need to live in the victory of God's call, not just the vicinity of it.

Jonah obeyed God's call and even saw a whole city turned toward God, yet he ended up angry and alone on a hillside because his heart never joined his hands. Take it into your week

Application

Examine whether you're only in the vicinity
Ask honestly whether you've been doing the right things for God while sulking instead of celebrating, a sign that your obedience hasn't reached your heart.
Name the lie you're believing
Before deciding what to give or do, pray about what's actually stopping you from trusting God, whether it's a lie about not having enough or about God's heart toward you.
Take the thought captive with God's word
When fear or a lie surfaces, speak truth to it out loud from Scripture rather than trying to just suppress the feeling.
Give toward the We Are Rock Point campaign
Pastor Bill asks everyone who calls Rock Point their church to prayerfully consider a pledge toward the building campaign as a concrete way to join in what God is doing rather than protecting personal comfort.
Let God kill the spider, not just clear the webs
Surrender the underlying heart issue to Jesus this week instead of settling for a cleaned-up outward change that will only grow the same fear and attitude back.
