Well, good morning Rock Point. How we doing?
And if I haven't had the chance to meet you yet, my name is Jeff Reinhart and I am the high school pastor here on staff. Got a couple high schoolers here. Yeah. I ran into one this morning, and he looked at me and he goes, you look like a backstreet boy this morning.
So that's the treatment that I get from our high schoolers on a weekly basis. But hey, if you're in high school here, you're a parent of a high schooler, I just wanna invite you to come check out Sunday nights. God has been moving
like crazy and doing some unbelievable things through our ministry. What's so special is you look around our church and there's high schoolers serving in almost every single area of our church. Come on, can we thank God for what he's doing through our high schoolers?
Well, I'm super excited to continue our series Jesus for Messiah. But is anyone just are you at the point where you're just over the election? Right?
Here's my number one reason why I'm so done with the election, I want it over with, is because I get about 10 political text messages a day on my phone. Anyone with me? Oh my goodness, make it stop. Lord,
help us. But this series has been really helpful to look at the life of Jesus, and navigate our current political and social climate from the lens of his teachings and his way of life. So we're gonna dive right in. Have you ever missed the point before? You ever missed the point?
Growing up, I played basketball, which is pretty impressive because I was about fifty pounds soaking wet growing up. And so I somehow managed to make a club basketball team. And let me just show you the meanest looking 13 year old out on the court.
Yeah, that's me on the left right there, just flexing on our opponents real quick. My SpongeBob SquarePants noodle arms. Oh, brother. But our team name, you can't make this stuff up. Our team name was Yo, It's Me. And yeah, right? Like we were named after my coaches, Collect Call phone company. Y'all remember Collect Calls?
So he hooked us up with some sick jerseys and we thought we were all that in a bag of chips. And so that ended up, translating over into our play on the court. And so we started getting flashy.
I mean, the behind the back passes, we would shoot deep threes that we had no business shooting. Just to kind of give you some context, we were basically like dude perfect mixed with the Harlem Globetrotters.
It's like if they had a baby, that's what we were, okay? And so we thought we were all that. And I remember we started losing games. We started losing games because we just got caught up in the flashy play. And I remember we were at practice and my coach just had had enough.
He had enough. And he finally just stopped practice, blew his whistle. And he's like, I'm done. You guys need to stop playing so flashy. If you continue to play flashy, you're gonna lose games. You need to come back to the fundamentals. And from there, our season went off. We went crazy, we won the championship,
unbelievable turn around. I'm just kidding, no, that didn't happen. If you have teenagers, that advice went in one ear and out the other, am I right? And we didn't turn it around because we couldn't get past playing flashy. We didn't focus on the fundamentals.
And so when it comes to our faith today, Jesus is gonna be like our coach. And he's gonna remind us that the thing the only things that matter when it comes to our faith are the fundamentals. And if you miss that, you're going to struggle. And what I love about Jesus is he gives us those fundamentals.
He says, it comes down to two things, loving God and loving others. Those are the fundamentals. And the way we do that is we recognize God's love and we respond to it. That's our big idea for today, is that love recognizes and responds.
Jesus is bringing us back to the fundamentals because he knows we're so prone to make our faith about everything else. And as a result, we miss the point. We miss how to honor, truly honor God and love the people
around us. We we get distracted by all these things that that are flashy and look cool on the outside, but we miss the heart transformation. Let me give you an example. There are some of us in our room that we get so excited about putting a Bible verse in our Instagram bio,
but then we turn around and we treat our coworkers poorly.
Some of us, man, we make a big deal out of getting our families to church and doing all the right things there and serving, but then the second we leave here, we go through the Dutch Bros line and we mistreat the barista there. And so Jesus is saying, man, if you're gonna follow me, it all comes back to the fundamentals and you can't miss out. A lot of us in here, we make our faith all about what we're doing for God.
We strive, we do all these, the good things, but we miss the heart and we wonder why we're so stressed out, overwhelmed, anxious and so tense. Right? Like there's some of us in here that claim to follow God, but then we turn around and we start fighting our neighbor on Facebook because of their political stance.
And this is what Jesus has come to address to us today. It's interesting, he's having a conversation with the religious leaders at the time and he's talking to kind of both groups. There was two kind of religious parties that had different political agendas. We don't know what that's like, right? Two political
parties that don't disagree or that disagree with each other. And so Jesus is having this conversation. The thing that they had in common is they both didn't like Jesus, and they were trying to silence him because he was bringing up, hey, you look good on the outside, but your heart is far from me. You care about looking
good on the outside, but you're missing the point of what it looks like to truly follow God, and how that love overflows into the people around us. And so they're having this conversation, and they're trying to trap Jesus in his words.
And so one group tries to pose a question to Jesus to try to trap him so that they can publicly disgrace him and he just puts them in their place. He tactfully answers the question. And then the rival group, the Pharisees, they
huddled together and they go, okay, it's our turn. Let's try to trap Jesus in our words with this question. And so this is where we're gonna pick up in our story. If you have your Bibles, Matthew twenty-two 34. I'll give you a second to turn there.
This is what it says, but when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question, teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?
He said, out of all the commands that were given, which one's the most important? Out of all the six eleven, which one would you say is the most important? And basically what he was trying to do, how he was trying to trap Jesus, is he was trying to get Jesus to elevate one command
over another, and then he would attack the reasoning. I kind of put it like this, I'm sorry for all the basketball references, it's just my passion, okay? But it's basically like me going to my coach and going, hey coach, if I wanna get better at basketball, what's the most important skill that I need to learn? And my coach answering layups. Layups are what's gonna make you most effective on the court. It's like me going, well what about free throws? I thought free throws won or lost games.
You clearly don't know basketball, so we shouldn't listen to you. That's basically what they're trying to do with Jesus with the law. And look at how Jesus responds.
This is in verse 37. It says, Jesus replied, you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. What is Jesus doing? He's bringing them back to the point. He's bringing them back to the fundamentals. See, they would have known this.
This is called the Shema, so Orthodox Jews would recite this daily. So they would have known what he was talking about and what he was referencing. Plus, are the same people that had the first five books of the Bible memorized. Could you imagine? But they were still missing the point.
They were still missing the why behind their actions. And Jesus was basically saying, hey, out of God's love for you, this is the most important thing that you can do for him. It starts here. It starts by giving him all of you, your heart, your soul, your mind, your emotions, your dreams,
every part of you give in to God in surrender. It's almost like he's replying, you're missing the point. You're making it about all these other things. You need to come back to the fundamentals. But then he doesn't stop there. He adds a second command to the first.
And this is what it says in verse 39. It says, the second is equally important. Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments. So he puts the second commandment of loving your neighbor as yourself up with the first.
It's all about loving God with everything in you, and then out of that, allowing that to overflow into the lives of the people around you. And Jesus is saying, all of those other commandments point back to these two fundamentals.
So you could be doing all the right things, but still miss the point of why the law was given in the first place. It was for you to honor God with your lives and love the people around you. And so for you and for me, as we sit here today, those rules still apply to us. Those are still our fundamentals
today. That's how we live out God's love for us, is by recognizing God's love and responding to it. And so what I wanna do for the next few minutes is I wanna break down what does that actually mean?
What does it mean to love God and love your neighbor as yourself? Because if we're being honest, I think a lot of us, right, we hear that, it's almost elevator music. We're like, oh yeah, of course, loving God and loving your neighbor. Absolutely, that's what I'm
about. But when it actually, push comes to shove, when it actually comes to living it out, I think a lot of us go, I don't know how to actually do that. I don't know how to, what that practically looks like. And what we're gonna look at is two stories.
One, how to love God and the second one, what does it look like to love our neighbor? But the first point I want to make under how to love God is that you need to recognize
your need for him. Recognize your need for him. Let's check out the first story. Jesus, again, responding to the religious leaders who were missing the point. This is in Luke 15, chapter 15 verse 11. It says this, he tells a story.
He says, to illustrate the point further, Jesus told them this story. A man had two sons and the younger son told his father, I want my share of your estate now before you die. So his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons. I
don't like that part. I've got two girls. I've got an almost three year old and an almost one year old. If one of my girls came to me and said, Hey, dad, I want the thing, I want my share of your inheritance before you die. Basically, wanna act like you're dead and I wanna get the benefits of it right now. I would be an emotional wreck.
Like I would not be okay. But then this father does something even crazier. He actually gives it to the son. It's like, boy, what are you doing? We need to have a conversation with this dad, right? Being like, what are you doing? Don't do that. Because look what happens. It says this,
so his father agreed to divide his wealth between his sons. Thirteen, a few days later, this younger son packed up all his belongings and moved to a distant land. And there he wasted all his money in wild living. So he gets his inheritance, modern day translation, he heads to Vegas, right?
Spends all his money on gambling and probably some things that I can't say in church, On wild living, he blows it all, all of his money. It's like, what is happening? And then look what happens. It gets even worse. About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land. He began to starve,
and so he persuaded a local farmer to hire him. And the man sent him into his fields to feed the pigs. Now listen, I love bacon. It's the best thing about pigs, but I do not want to work with pigs. I just wanna eat them, right?
And so he's in this moment of desperation. Things have gone from bad to worse. And this is what it says, The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. This is rock bottom. And it says, But no one gave him anything. Verse 17, and this is where I want to look at.
The younger son, it says, When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, 'At home, even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger. I will go home to my father and say, Father, I've sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son.
Please take me on as a hired servant. Notice that sentence, when he finally came to his senses, he's recognizing his need for God. At this point, he's thrown his life away. He's gone down the wrong path. He's made several choices, and that's really picture of you and I with a life without God.
When it's up to us, when we're in control of our lives, man, we run to the addiction. We run to alcohol. We run to that site that we promised ourselves we never go back to. We run to the anger. We run to the pride. And what that does is that leads us, the consequences leads us to a place of brokenness.
And that's where this son is. He's at the bottom. He's realizing, man, life, when it's up to me, is not good. It leads to pain, it leads to trauma, it leads to this point of brokenness, but then what begins to happen is that he realizes, realizes
that he has a father that loves him. He recognizes his need for God. I love that when he came to his senses. And then what he does is he recognizes God's love for him and God's, and the Father's love for the people around him. Did you notice that?
At his worst moment, he recognized, man, my father even treats his workers well. He treats the people that worked for him, he takes care of them, they have plenty of food to eat. And so the son goes, you know what, even if I can go back home
and just be a hired servant, I'm gonna be in a better spot. You can see the change that's beginning to happen in his heart. You see him start to turn from his wild living and toward the father. He came to his senses and realized, man, I need God. How about you?
Where are you at? Maybe you're in this room and you're like, I can relate to the younger son.
I believe that this is your moment where God is calling you, he's wooing you with his love back home, saying, hey, yeah, I know you strayed away. I know you've made a mistake, made mistakes. I know you've leaned into some brokenness, but guess what? There's a place for you at home.
I've got love for you waiting for you. Would you come back home? And so look what happens, and this is the second point in loving God, is we need to respond to his love.
Respond to his love. In verse 20, it says this, so he returned home to his father. And this, I love this verse, I need you to catch this. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. So the father's looking for him. It's a beautiful picture of our father.
When we were a long way off, God is waiting, he's looking for us. And then it says this, while he was a long way off, his father saw him coming, filled with love and compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. His son said to him, Father,
I have sinned against both heaven and you, I'm no longer worthy of being called your son. There's the heart change. There's the apology. But look how the father responds.
But his father said to his servants, Quick, bring the finest robe in the house and put it on him. Get a ring for his finger and sandals for his feet and kill the calf we have been fattening, AKA it's a steak party. It's the best kind of party right there. That's the father's love. And a nice T bone steak, I don't know.
And he says, We must celebrate with a feast, amen. For this son of mine was dead and he has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found. And here's the best verse in the Bible. So the party began. One thing I've learned is there ain't no party like a Jesus party, because the Jesus party don't stop.
He comes back home to the father. Did you catch that? The father runs to him. The father's not mad at him. I don't know who needs to hear this in here today, but God's not mad at you. He just wants you to come home. Some of you have disqualified
yourself in this room and said, you know what? I'm too far gone for the love of God. I've made too many mistakes for God to love me and that's not the truth. This story proves the point of that's our Father's response to us. Even at our worst point, God still loves you and is pursuing you in love.
That's did you see that? He came back home and he was immediately met with God's grace, the father's grace, the father's love, and welcomed into the party. For those of you that feel, man, you shouldn't even be sitting in this room, I need you to catch that, is that God's pursuing you as you sit where you sit.
It's so beautiful. And so this son is just soaking in the love of God. He's recognized and he's responded to God's love for him. But let's check-in on the older brother in this story. Check this out, in verse 28, it says, The older brother was angry
and wouldn't go in. His father came out and begged him, but he replied, 'All these years I've slayed for you and never once refused to do a single thing you told me to. And in all that time, you never gave me even one young goat for a feast with my friends. He's getting steak, I didn't even get a goat.
Yet when this son of yours comes back after squandering your money on prostitutes, you celebrate by killing the fattened calf. You see the older brother's heart. He's angry, he's frustrated. He's caught up in his self righteousness and his pride, thinking that his faith is all dependent on his effort.
And look what the father says to him. His father said to him, again, out of love, look, dear son, you've always stayed by me and everything that I have is yours. We had to celebrate this happy day, for your brother was dead and has come back to life. He was lost, but now he is found. The older brother missed the point.
The older brother is missing the fundamentals. Did you catch that heart? It's that he's upset that his brother, who was lost, had come back home and been found. I think for you and for me, there's some people in here that have the attitude of an older brother. And the way that we tell if we have an older brother mentality
is the way that we look at people who are lost, people who are far from God. Our response to them when they finally show up to church and we get upset with them because they're crowding our favorite service time, that's a revealer of our heart. God's saying, that needs to be addressed, because if you and I aren't careful,
if we continue down that mindset that it's all about our effort and what we do for God, we're gonna miss God's love and we're gonna miss responding to it. We're not gonna join the party. I think that leaves us on the ultimate cliffhanger. We don't know
if the older brother finally comes into the party, and Jesus is basically making the point. As he's talking to the religious leaders, he's saying, you're the older brother, and I'm the father, and I'm still welcoming you to the party, but it's gonna start by recognizing
and responding to my love. I think that's the ultimate test for us, is whether or not we have God's love in us, It's how we treat the people around us. If we don't have God's love in us, man, we're gonna treat our neighbor poorly.
But if we truly have had an encounter with God and he has transformed our life from the inside out, Man, we're gonna carry that over into loving our neighbors radically, and Jesus shows us how to do that. And here's the next story here. So Jesus shows us how to love our neighbor. And the
first point on how to love our neighbor, according to Jesus, is we need to recognize our role. Recognize our role in the lives of the people around us. Luke ten thirty, Jesus tells this story. There's this man, he's a religious guy, and he's basically saying, hey, how I inherit eternal life?
How do I get that eternal life thing? And Jesus goes, well, what do you think? What does the law say? And the man responds by saying, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. And the man goes, and love your neighbor as yourself.
And Jesus goes, you answered correctly, but then the man drops this question. He goes, but who is my neighbor?
He's basically trying to say, what's the bare minimum I have to do to achieve eternal life, or get eternal life? Like what's the bare minimum I have to do to love my neighbor? And Jesus is gonna respond to the story going, you're missing the point.
I don't know if you guys ever think this way, but sometimes I think this way. It's like, Man, if I just buy this person's coffee, I'm good. I can live
and treat my neighbors however I want later in the day. Like, as long as I just do that one deed, I'm good for the rest of the day. Y'all ever think like that? Jesus is like, Yo, I'm gonna address that behavior. So this is what it says in Luke ten thirty. It says, Jesus replied with a story.
A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up and left him half dead beside the road. By chance, a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. A temple assistant
walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side. Are you catching the picture here? The two people that work for the house of God, the two people that you go, yes, they're on the scene, they're gonna jump in and help, didn't understand their role
with God's love. And they actually, rather than running toward this person who was beat up and left there on the side of the road, they crossed to the other side. How many of us, we have that same attitude toward the people in our lives.
Maybe we don't walk by people who are physically hurt, but how many times do we walk by people who are emotionally and spiritually broken, that are left there? And God is wanting to use you and I to help that person and bring them closer to him, but you and I come up with all the excuses of why we can't help.
Oh, this is so convicting for me, because there's times when I just get busy in my day and the next appointment is the most important appointment and I just fill my day and I tell God, God, I can't be used by you because I gotta get to this meeting. God's going, you're missing out.
You're missing out in all the ways that I want to use you. And so you and I, what does it look like for us to create margin in our schedules, to listen to God's call in our life and to keep our eyes up for the people that are lost, and are hurting, and are far from God. And how can we run towards their brokenness,
not away from it? So the story continues. And here's the second point for loving
others, it's respond in love. This is what we need to do. We need to recognize our role in following God and respond in love. Verse 33 says this, then a despised Samaritan
came along. Now this is where things get crazy in the story because Samaritans and Jews hated each other. And the man that was beat up was Jewish. And here comes the Samaritan who's literally their enemies. I mean, Jews would call Samaritans half breeds because they intermarried.
Like that's pretty jacked up. Anytime a Jewish person had to travel and the shortest distance was through Samaria, they would literally make their trip longer and go around Samaria. It's almost like Tucson for me.
Like I went to Arizona State
and like, I know that our mascot is the devil's, but they act like the devil down there. You know what I mean? And so this relates on another level. It's like someone from Tucson something, being the hero of the story, right?
So it goes on and says, Then a despised Samaritan came along and we saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine. Which pause, by the way, my wife's an ER nurse. I had no idea that was a remedy for wounds. Here's
my challenge. This might be the youth pastor and me. Next time you just have an open wound, throw some olive oil and some red wine in that bad boy and just see what happens, okay? Report back to me. I'm like, what is happening? And banished them.
Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn where he took care of him. The next day he handed the innkeeper 2 silver coins, telling him, take care of this man, if his bill runs higher than this, I'll pay you the next time I'm here. And here comes the conclusion of the story.
Jesus responds by saying, now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits? Jesus asked. And the man replies, he doesn't even use the term Samaritan, he says, the one who showed him mercy. Then Jesus said, yes, now go and do the same.
What's Jesus's point? The man asked, who is my neighbor? And Jesus goes, he's gonna answer the man's question by saying, that's not the question. Here's the answer that you need to think about. It's to be a neighbor. That's the point of the story, to be a neighbor. Who do you need to be a neighbor to in your life?
Who desperately needs the love of Jesus in your life? Who desperately needs your encouragement and prayer in their life? Who have you been crossing to the other side to avoid in your life? Maybe hiding behind Christian boundaries. Oh, I can't get in their mess. No, we're called to the mess
as believers. This is what God has called us to. If we really truly understand God's love, we're going to respond to it. We're gonna be known by our love. In John thirteen thirty four, it says this, this is Jesus. So now I am giving you a new commandment. Love each other, just as I have loved you.
You should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. What should we be known by as Christ followers? We should be known by our love. Let me ask you this, what are you known by? If we were to ask the people
that you interact with on a daily basis, how would they answer that question? What would they say that you're known by? Is it your love, or is it your political stance? Is it your opinions? Is it your anger and frustration? What are you known by? Because if we claim to follow Jesus, we are gonna be known by love.
Here's what I realized this this week, and I was missing the point myself. The people that I can't stand, and I just wanna say, I'm sorry ahead of time for this story, this is you, but the people that I can't stand on a daily basis are solar salespeople.
I know, God's working on my heart. They're the whole reason why I got a ring doorbell, okay? We had one of the old school ones that kept ringing it, waking my girls up during nap time. Parents, know that's your one time of the day where you get free time,
is crossing over those naps, right? And so I got a ring doorbell and now it's so easy. They hit the button, I can ignore them. And so this week I was sitting at home, one of them rang my doorbell and I was like, perfect, see you later, buddy. And then I went on a walk and I started walking.
And then I see the solar salesman
on the other side of the road. And he says, hi to me, just like with the best attitude. Hey man, how are you doing? And I'm like, good. Trying to avoid him, right? Trying to duck him. And he's like, I was like, how are you? Trying to be fake nice to him. He's like, great, just taking a little bit of a jog. I'm like, all right, jog away from me now.
And so I go to my park and I sit down for a second and I look back over and here he comes walking back over by me. And he sits down at the table right next to me. And I'm like, no, this is my worst nightmare. And we kept making awkward eye contact with one another. And then I just had this conviction
from God just going, you're avoiding him. You're purposely avoiding him. I want you to talk to him. And so I look over at him, I'm like, no. So I go, hey man, how you doing? And we started talking and we introduced ourselves and get to know a little bit about each other.
He just starts opening up about his life and how he got into solar sales and how hard his life has been and losing his job and his girlfriend broke up with him and that whole thing was a mess. And then it started becoming clear why God crossed this man, crossed our paths.
I knew God was wanting me to talk to him about Jesus. And so as we began talking, I just brought up the good news.
I just said, hey, man, I know you're searching, but there's a guy there's a God that loves you and that wants a relationship with you. And man, you're gonna feel like you're always missing something on the inside of you. And it's not gonna You're not gonna fill that void other than a relationship
with Jesus. And what's cool is you can start that relationship with Jesus today. And so we started praying together. And I'm like, what is happening? It's the solar salesman, we're praying together. But it was this moment where I realized that I needed to be a neighbor to him.
This is what God is asking us to do for those of us who know Jesus, is we need to be a neighbor to the people that sometimes we can't stand. The people that have different views than us, and that vote differently than us. Jesus is saying, be a neighbor to them. There's some of us in here that are like my solar salesman,
friend, who man, you've been running from God for a while now. And you've been trying to do life on your own.
And you're caught up in your brokenness, and you need to come to the point where you recognize God's love and respond to it, because he loves you. He loves you so much that he didn't just leave you in your mess. Scripture says, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. God sent Jesus to live a perfect,
sinless life, and then to take on your sin and my sin. The penalty for sin was death. And so Jesus laid down his life for us. He put the sins of the world upon himself, and he went to the cross, and he died in our place.
And on the third day, he rose to life proving that he is who he said he was, That he is the way, he is the truth, and he is the life. And no one comes to God except through a relationship
with him. And so I don't know who I'm talking to in this room, but God is pursuing you in this moment. He's wooing you back to him. But it's gonna take you responding to him. You saying, Jesus, I give my life to you. And so I'm gonna close in prayer.
And I'm gonna ask for those who have never placed your faith in Jesus before, I'm gonna give you an opportunity to just pray a simple prayer with me. To make Jesus Lord and Savior, to leave the lifestyle behind, and to choose Jesus from this day forward, and allow him to run your life from this day forward.
And then I'm gonna close in prayer for those of us who do know Jesus. What I want you to do is I want you to ask God, God, who do I need to be a neighbor to this week? Who have I been avoiding that you want me to run to? And so would you join me in prayer? And those of you, or this is your moment to choose Jesus,
a relationship with him that saves you, not only here on earth, but for eternity. I want you just to pray this simple prayer, Jesus, I've messed up, I've failed, I've walked away from you. But Jesus, thank you for pursuing me. Thank you for dying for me and raising to life again to give me life.
And it's just this simple, you can just say, Jesus, I give my life to you. That's it. Jesus, I give my life to you.
If you made that decision just now and you prayed that prayer, can you just throw up your hand for me so I can see it real high? Yeah, you don't have to be shy. It's the best decision that you can make. I see you. Yep, there's hands going up. I see you. Anymore,
this is your moment where you know God is calling you to relationship with him and you're choosing him. Just throw that hand up super high. Jesus, I give my life to you. Beautiful, beautiful.
God, I ask, I thank you for those that have placed their faith in you for the first time. Jesus, thank you for those who have come home and come into a right relationship
with you. Jesus, I ask that you would continue to work in through them. God, that your love would overflow into the lives of the people around them. But God, I ask for those of us who are in you, help us to be known by our love at work, at school, wherever we interact with people.
Jesus, I pray that love would define us this week and moving forward. So God, I pray that you would place those people on our heart that we need to be a neighbor
too. Lord, will we impact them? Will we love them like you love us and point them to you? Jesus, give us the strength. Give us the courage to forgive and to love like you. And we love you, we praise you, and everyone said Amen. Amen. Amen. Hey, can we give it up for everybody who gave their life to Jesus this morning? All
right. Hey, if that was you and you made that decision this morning, I just wanna say, welcome to the family. We're so thankful you made that decision. I'm gonna even ask you, if you raised your hand,
in your time of commitment, I want you to take out your phone right now and scan that QR code right in front of you. It's super easy.
And click on the tab once you scan that QR code that says, say yes to Jesus, because you made the best decision you'll ever make, and we want to walk alongside you and help you in your walk with Jesus. Can we get it up one more time and celebrate what God's doing? Amen.
