God loves us too much to leave us comfortable in our distractions. Through the prophet Amos, Pastor Bill shows that when we get complacent and make idols out of our sin, our wealth, or our brokenness, God will lovingly wreck those things to get our attention. The call is not to fear but to stop hiding, repent, and surrender completely to Jesus as both Savior and King, because that surrender is where real life and restoration are found.

The book of Joel points back to what God has done and forward to what He will do to show one truth: the Lord is one — before all things, above all things, the only God. Jesus is not just our Savior but our King, the great finisher who has already won, so we can return to Him and rest.

God still has a field He wants us working — loving people and pointing them to Jesus — and He wants us in it today. Real faith isn't about having the right words or the right look; it's about a life that keeps turning back to God whenever He reveals where we've gone our own way.
