God loves us enough to warn us before it's too late. When we find our worth in the wrong things and seek wisdom from the wrong places, our hearts harden like King Belshazzar's, but humbling ourselves and trusting God with our time and money leads to real joy and victory instead of judgment.

We live in exile in a culture that no longer shares our values, just like Daniel did in Babylon. But God doesn't ask us to fight or fix that culture — He asks us to refuse to be molded by it, to renew our minds to His point of view, and to trust Him with the outcome.
