God has given us prayer as a way to constantly experience His peace, His kingdom, and His heart, rather than waiting until a crisis forces us to pray. Using the Lord's Prayer as a model, Pastor Ron shows that prayer isn't a formula but an ongoing conversation with a heavenly Father who invites us to climb into His lap and be changed by Him.

Every believer is in a real spiritual battle against an unseen enemy, but God has given us a weapon greater than any sword: His Word. The Bible is a battle-tested, offensive, defensive, and transformative weapon that, when actually used, brings real victory instead of the defeat we settle for when we fight with the wrong tools.

Pastor Bill Bush · Apr 6, 2025
God has always been faithful to His people, and that faithfulness is available to us right now. Because the enemy attacks both our feelings (with fiery arrows of doubt and fear) and our thinking (trying to get in our head), we're given a shield of faith to act on what we believe in community, and a helmet of salvation to focus our mind on God's perspective rather than the lies we're told.

Following Jesus isn't a passive add-on to life — it's a battle with a real enemy who wants to confuse us, wound us, and make us give up. But God has already given us armor to fight and stand firm: truth, righteousness, and the peace of the gospel, so that instead of sitting out the fight miserable, we can live in the victory Jesus has already won.

Pastor Phil Whetstone · Mar 24, 2025
We're in a real spiritual battle, and victory doesn't come from overestimating our own strength or underestimating the enemy's. Paul shows us in Ephesians 6 that before we ever put on the armor of God, we need prayer as our base layer — letting the Spirit lead, praying constantly, specifically, multi-dimensionally, persistently, and boldly.

Following Jesus is not a casual add-on to life — it is serious, because every Christian has a real spiritual enemy who wants to steal, kill, and destroy. But Christians already have the victory Jesus won on the cross, so the call is to perceive the enemy, plug into God's power, put on His armor, and fight together rather than alone.
