Real love lives in the light.
Pastor Bill Bush · Aug 16, 2026
Through the Holy Spirit, God Himself now lives inside every believer, not just watching from a distance. That means we are never alone, and we have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead working in us to shape our character, send us on mission, and unite us to His people.
Pastor Jeff Reinhart · Jul 12, 2026
We were never meant to fight life's battles alone. God's answer to our loneliness has always been godly friendship, and the story of Jonathan and David shows us what that looks like: friends who fight beside each other through shared faith and mission, and who fight for each other by defending, encouraging, and pointing one another back to God.

Peace isn't found by running away from people and their problems—it's found by choosing them. The earliest believers in Acts show that when we devote ourselves to real community, not just casual church attendance, God uses the people around us to bring us the peace, healing, and growth we're looking for.

God wants to radically transform your life in the year ahead, and He offers real hope for that change. But like any real transformation, it doesn't happen instantly — it grows the way a planted seed grows, through consistently knowing Jesus personally, growing in biblical community, and living intentionally.

Jesus's final words to His disciples were not a suggestion but a commission: go, make disciples, and teach them to obey. Pastor Bill shows that we can't give away what we don't have — so becoming a disciple who truly knows Christ, grows in community, and goes to live intentionally is how we find the fulfillment we're all looking for, instead of staying stuck behind the obstacles of our old life.

Faith is personal, but it was never meant to be private — God's plan for growing us is largely each other. Real biblical community means being truly known, being accepted with gentleness and humility, being supported without becoming codependent, and being developed together into fully engaged followers of Christ.
Pastor Clayton York · Aug 14, 2022
Real community was God's design from the beginning, and it's worth pursuing even though it's hard. The enemy twists this good gift into something we run from, feeding us lies that we're fine on our own or that struggle means something's wrong — but the struggle itself is often what leads to maturity and to being truly known.

Jesus already paid for our seat in the story by dying for us and drawing us to faith. Now that we're in, He asks us to move — toward Him in a growing relationship, into real biblical community, and out intentionally with our time, talent, treasure, and testimony to reach others.

God never intended us to walk this life of faith alone; He designed us to grow through real, physically present community. Like redwood trees that survive storms by intertwining their roots rather than growing deep alone, we survive and thrive spiritually by being known, accepted, supported, and developed by others.

Even the strongest believers can move from a spiritual high straight into a temptation to sin, but God places friends in our lives who, with humility, can pull us back before we do damage we can't undo. Rock Point exists to help people find that kind of biblical community, because we were never meant to walk through hard times, or the pull of temptation, alone.
