Compassion

Jesus commands us to love each other the way He has loved us, but that command is easy to say and hard to do when people are genuinely difficult to love. The story of the Good Samaritan shows what that love looks like, and the story of Mary and Martha right after it reveals the secret: loving the unlovable only happens naturally when we've spent real time sitting at Jesus's feet.
