Drawing from Jesus' wilderness temptation in Luke 4, this sermon argues that the Holy Spirit and the Bible are inseparable partners in the Christian life — each protecting, correcting, and directing the believer. Just as Jesus, full of the Spirit, defeated Satan three times by quoting Scripture, so followers of Jesus today experience God's power most fully when they combine the Spirit's leading with consistent, trusting engagement in God's Word.
