Jesus calls us not just to admire the good Samaritan but to become one — crossing the street, at real cost, for the people God has placed in our path. He did this for us first, leaving comfort to bind up our wounds and carry us to safety at the price of His own life. The question left for us is whether we're willing to do the same for others.

Jesus meets us where we are and changes everything, but He doesn't call us to just remember that moment — He sends us out with it. Like the healed man in Mark 5 who Jesus refused to let stay close but sent home to tell his story, our testimony is meant to keep growing and to be used right now, not filed away as an old memory.

Jesus already paid for our seat in the story by dying for us and drawing us to faith. Now that we're in, He asks us to move — toward Him in a growing relationship, into real biblical community, and out intentionally with our time, talent, treasure, and testimony to reach others.

The good news of Jesus isn't just a gift to receive, it's a message we're now responsible to carry. Paul shows in Romans 10 that faith is believing in your heart and declaring it with your mouth, and that people cannot hear what we refuse to share — so our job is simply faithful obedience, not controlling the outcome.
