Disagreements are inevitable in every relationship, including with God — that's not the real problem. The real question is what we do with them: whether we let them distract us from God's mission and destroy our relationships, or whether we stop, calibrate, and listen so God can use them to grow us.

God offers real life on the other side of surrender, but we keep trying to build our own version of a good life on our own terms. The Tower of Babel shows people who wanted to worship God while ignoring His word; Jesus calls us instead to give up our own way, take up our cross, and trust that He knows what's best.

Pastor Bill shows from Romans 11 that Israel's setback is not proof God breaks His promises but the greatest proof He keeps them — a remnant remains, and one day Israel will be grafted back in. Because God is faithful, we don't have to let fear run our lives; instead we turn what we know about Him into adoration, remembering everything is for us but it isn't about us.

Life with God includes both mountaintops and dark valleys, and that's not a sign He has left us. David wrote Psalm 23 looking back on a life full of both, and he shows us that valleys are part of a broken world, but they don't last forever and they aren't without purpose. Our job is to walk through them without fear, remembering God is present with us and fighting for us.
