God's Pursuit

God calls each of us to things He loves us enough to ask, but which feel hard or uncomfortable, and it's tempting to run the other way like Jonah did. The hope is that God isn't waiting to punish us for running, He's waiting to bring us back, and the sooner we turn and trust Him, the sooner the chaos we caused by running gets resolved.

God isn't hunting you down to catch you in trouble — He's pursuing you to set you free. Genesis 3 shows that sin always makes us hide in shame, but God calls out "where are you?" not because He needs the answer, but because He wants us to stop running and be honest so He can begin His best work in us.
