True Christmas joy is not found in circumstances improving or God rewarding good behavior, but in accepting the gift of grace purchased on the cross and made real by the resurrection. Pastor Bill argues that Christmas and Easter are two sides of the same story: the manger only makes sense in light of the cross, and until we move from a performance-based 'Santa theology' to resting in the completed work of Jesus, we will remain confused about Christmas and cut off from its deepest joy. That joy — available even in the darkest valleys — comes when we accept the gift, live in resurrection hope, and go tell it joyfully.

Every person carries the weight of their past — resentments rehearsed, pain that paralyzes, and guilt reinforced — and those things become a false identity. Pastor Bill argues that the Bible calls us not to discover who we are but to recover the identity God originally gave us. That recovery happens only at the cross of Jesus Christ, where resentment is released through forgiveness, pain is repurposed for God's glory, and remorse is resolved by surrendering to the One who already died for it.
Pastor Daniel Goulding · Apr 17, 2019
Failure is an inevitable part of the human experience, but it does not have to be fatal. Through the story of Peter's denial and restoration in John 21, Pastor Daniel shows that Jesus does not dismiss our shortcomings or disqualify us because of them. Instead, He pursues us in our moments of greatest weakness, recreates the scene of our calling, and — rather than offering condemnation — prepares a meal, addresses our shame directly, and sends us back to the mission. The grace that saves us is the same grace that sustains and restores us.
