In Matthew 6, Jesus performs 'motive surgery' on His followers by exposing how religious acts done for public approval — or even to earn God's favor — produce no lasting transformation. True, He-centered faith requires honestly examining why we do what we do, getting alone with God to be real with Him, and replacing spiritual performance with genuine two-way prayer. When our faith is truly centered on God rather than ourselves, we stop swinging between arrogance and shame and instead discover the continual, life-giving reward of knowing and being known by a good Father.

In Ephesians 3:14–21, Paul prays that believers would be empowered from the inside out by the Spirit, rooted and grounded in the love of Christ. The sermon argues that most people try to earn God's presence by doing good things first, when in reality transformation only flows from letting Christ make His home in the heart. Until we truly grasp how wide, long, high, and deep God's love is — breaking the lies that He doesn't love us, that His love won't last, and that our identity is still defined by sin — we cannot live the full, overflowing life God intends, nor trust Him with our personal 'wheelbarrow' moments.

Through the names Yahweh Rapha — the Lord who heals — God reveals that His deepest concern is not fixing our external circumstances but transforming our hearts and souls from the inside out. Drawing on the Israelites' bitter-water crisis in Exodus and Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman in John, Pastor Caleb shows that true healing comes not through explanations or perfect outcomes, but through a personal encounter with Jesus, the living water, who took the bitterness of life upon Himself on the cross so that we could be made whole — regardless of what we face.
