Real worship goes deeper than singing songs of thanks for what God has done — it means surrendering to His voice as our Shepherd. Through Psalm 23, Pastor Bill shows that trusting God with our needs, in our valleys, and for our future turns a relationship that is merely informational into one that is truly intimate.

Prayer is an invitation, not a punishment—a way to get more of God, not more from Him. Jesus gives His disciples a model, not a script, showing us to pray clearly, expectantly, humbly, and dependently to a Father who already knows what we need.

The church in Ephesus was hardworking, doctrinally sound, and bold, yet Jesus' complaint was that they had abandoned their first love for Him and each other. Pastor Bill shows that anxiety often tempts us to cut corners for convenience, but through David's story in the cave at En Gedi, we see that trusting God fully rather than settling for shortcuts is what leads to real peace. The difference between David and Saul was not that one sinned and the other didn't, but that David kept his relationship with God close through prayer and worship, so when he cut a corner he was quick to confess and turn back.
