Marriage struggles reveal that when life gets externally difficult, we tend to take our fears and frustrations out on the people closest to us. First Peter 3 offers a better way: wives honor their husbands through a godly life rather than words, and husbands lay down their strength to truly know and honor their wives — both choosing meekness, strength under control, instead of giving in to weakness.
