Obedience Over Outcomes

The good news of Jesus isn't just a gift to receive, it's a message we're now responsible to carry. Paul shows in Romans 10 that faith is believing in your heart and declaring it with your mouth, and that people cannot hear what we refuse to share — so our job is simply faithful obedience, not controlling the outcome.

God has already provided a way for us to join His side through the cross, and true worship is what gets us there. Rather than worshiping to earn God's blessing or get Him to fight for us, we're called to surrender first, focus on faithfully walking with Him rather than winning, and trust that our only way across to His side is through Jesus.

The hope Pastor Bill offers is that any desperate cry to God can become the starting point for something stronger. Instead of chasing New Year's resolutions built on desperate faith, the invitation is to trust who Jesus is, believe what He says, and start moving in that direction before we see the result.
