In a culture drowning in distraction and busyness, the real problem is not a shortage of time but a shortage of meaning in the time we already have. Drawing on Ephesians 5:15-16 and James 4, Pastor Bill challenges followers of Christ to stop mopping up an overflowing faucet and instead intentionally restructure their priorities. True transformation comes not from cramming more into an already packed schedule, but from voluntarily shaping that schedule around Jesus — keeping your eyes on the clock (being mindful of how time is actually spent) and keeping your eyes on the prize (aligning every minute with what eternally matters).

The story of Noah reveals that a life truly rooted in God's grace will naturally express itself in three ways: walking with the Lord in obedience, waiting on the Lord with patience, and worshiping the Lord with an all-in surrender. Pastor Bill argues that if someone claims to follow Jesus but consistently refuses to obey, serve, or trust God with their time and money, something is blocking them from genuinely receiving His grace. Noah's example—building the ark, riding out the flood, and sacrificing immediately upon landing—shows what it looks like to live from grace rather than merely for it.

Drawing from Ezekiel 37's vision of the valley of dry bones and Paul's armor of God in Ephesians 6, this sermon argues that God specializes in bringing life out of hopeless, dead-end situations. However, experiencing that resurrection power requires three responses from us: listening to God's Word even when His instructions seem pointless, looking to God's power with patient faith rather than demanding our own timeline, and living through the Holy Spirit by surrendering to Him and putting on the full armor of God so we are prepared for the spiritual battle we so easily ignore.
