Restoration After Failure

Jesus meets His disciples in the middle of their failure and restores them completely, not partially. Through the miraculous catch, the charcoal fire, and Peter's threefold restoration, John shows that our work depends entirely on Christ's power, and that following Him is a lifelong call unique to each of us — not a call to compare our race with someone else's.
