Saul and David

Real worship isn't an activity confined to a song set; it's a lifestyle of full obedience to God. Saul shows what it looks like to give God only some of what He wants and to repent merely because he got caught, while David shows what it looks like to be truly grieved before God and repent from the heart — both remind us that God desires obedience, not sacrifice.

God offers us real victory — a right relationship with Him — but too often we treat Him like a consultant, listening only to the advice we like and rejecting the rest. Saul and David both sinned and both hit desperate moments, but Saul kept fighting God while David learned to fail forward, take the loss, and trust his King.
