Spiritual Courage

Our feelings are real and God-given, but they are not always reliable narrators of truth. Pastor Bill shows from Psalm 42 that the healthy pattern is to question our feelings by digging beneath the surface to find what's really going on, and then to declare and actively step into God's truth despite what we feel, the way Jesus Himself did in Gethsemane.

The hope is that you don't have to be crushed when culture turns against your faith, because courage like Daniel's isn't manufactured in the moment of pressure — it's developed years before through daily integrity and prayer. Daniel's calm in the lion's den came from seventy years of praying the same way, whether anyone was watching or not. Following Jesus with our eyes fixed on Him is what paves that path for us today.
