True humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less, and it is a daily, repeated choice to admit when we are wrong and to surrender our plans to God's purpose.

Like Batman trying to outrun Superman, our best human efforts fall hopelessly short of God's perfection. The only path to righteousness is the same one Abraham walked: simply believing God — not merely believing in God — and trusting in the grace and power that raised Jesus from the dead and makes us entirely new.
