God's love for us is not based on what we do or don't do — it is based entirely on what Jesus already accomplished. When Jesus cried "It is finished" on the cross, He declared our debt fully paid, our sentence fully served, and victory over our enemy fully won, so nothing we do can make Him love us more or less.

Good Friday, the darkest day in human history, became the day of our deepest rescue because Jesus took the judgment, the abandonment, and the separation that should have been ours. Because of the cross, our dark days don't have to mean God has left us — they can become good days when we remember His cross, His cry, and His curtain.

Even the hardest questions about God are worth wrestling with, and hell is one of the hardest. Rather than proving God is unloving, the cross shows the full weight of both His love and His justice, and shows that when people are separated from God forever, it is because they chose to go their own way, not because a loving God forced them there.

The hope of the gospel is that God has already provided the cure for what's killing us, even when His way of doing it doesn't fit our logic. Like Israel looking at the bronze snake, or Nicodemus needing to be born again, we're invited to trust and act on what God says even before we fully understand it, and find true life on the other side.

God's faithfulness doesn't depend on our timeline, and Abraham's story shows that faith isn't the absence of fear but trusting God in spite of it. When we settle for less than what God promised, we start looking around instead of up; the cross is the eternal proof that God keeps His word even when the wait is long.

God has already provided a way for us to join His side through the cross, and true worship is what gets us there. Rather than worshiping to earn God's blessing or get Him to fight for us, we're called to surrender first, focus on faithfully walking with Him rather than winning, and trust that our only way across to His side is through Jesus.
