The Gospel

There is only one gospel: Jesus lived the perfect life we couldn't, died the death we deserved, and rose again so we could be made right with God through faith alone. Culture and even well-meaning churches will always pressure that message to change, but Paul warns that any gospel that adds works to grace isn't good news at all — it's a curse. Our calling is to know this message, defend it, and let it actually transform how we live.

Christmas isn't ultimately about a season, decorations, or feelings — it's about our need for a Savior. Before we can feel the joy of the good news, Romans 1 shows us how serious the bad news is: we live like God doesn't exist and like we are God ourselves, and both roads lead to death. But there is real hope and joy on the other side of trusting Christ.

The good news is not that we get into heaven by cleaning up our act — it's that God loved us because of who He is, not because of who we are, and nothing we do can change that. Because of this, the gospel isn't just the entry ticket into the kingdom; it's meant to shape how we live in every relationship, marriage, and friendship we have.
