Every follower of Jesus carries a story that is meant to be lived forward as an active mission, not filed away as a past memory. Drawing on Mark 5 and the demon-possessed man whom Jesus healed and immediately sent back to his community, Pastor Bill argues that disciples are called to know Jesus personally, grow in biblical community, and go intentionally into the world — using their own testimony, however new or seasoned, as the primary tool for pointing people to Jesus. The danger is letting comfort, distraction, and 'our pigs' keep us from leaning into that calling.

In His final words to His disciples, Jesus commissioned every follower to go and make disciples — not as an optional suggestion, but as the very purpose for which He died and for which we are still here. Pastor Bill argues that fully embracing this Great Commission requires being a disciple first: knowing Jesus personally, growing in biblical community, and going to live intentionally. These three movements are not burdens but the path to the personal fulfillment, joy, and peace every believer is searching for, powered by surrender to the Holy Spirit rather than the old self.

Pastor Bill calls the church to recognize that genuine love — the kind modeled by Jesus in John 3:16 and the Great Commission — always gives and always goes. Using his own journey from financial fear to faithful generosity, the Parable of the Sower, and the story of David and Goliath, he argues that a believer's willingness to give sacrificially is not merely a financial decision but a heart indicator of whether God's love has truly taken root. The sermon challenges every person to move from an 'I can't do it' posture to an 'I can't not do it' moment of courageous, Spirit-led commitment.

Using the Great Commission as his anchor, the pastor challenges believers to move beyond passive church attendance into deliberate, whole-life discipleship. True faith in Jesus is expressed through four areas of intentionality — testimony, time, talent, and treasure — and the refusal to engage in any of them reveals either misplaced doubt or misplaced trust. Money, in particular, is not merely a fundraising issue but a faith-forming one: where we invest our treasure, Jesus says, our hearts will follow. The church exists to go to 'them' so that 'them' can become 'we,' and every believer is called to be personally invested in that mission.

In Romans 10, Paul makes clear that salvation — believing in your heart and declaring with your mouth that Jesus is Lord — is never meant to be a private, personal possession. The same invitation of faith that draws a person into relationship with God simultaneously sends them outward as a messenger to others. Because people cannot hear what no one shares, every follower of Jesus bears a responsibility to tell the people in their circle of influence about the gospel. Success in this mission is measured not by results but by faithful obedience, trusting God to do what only He can do in another person's heart.

John 20 narrates the unfolding dawn of a new creation: the empty tomb with its undisturbed grave clothes, Mary's tearful encounter with the risen Gardener, the disciples' fearful commissioning, and Thomas's honest doubt resolved by a personal appearance of Jesus. Together these moments reveal that the resurrection is not merely a resuscitation but the launch of a whole new order — one in which Jesus sends His Spirit-empowered people into the world to announce forgiveness and carry the good news to every corner of creation.
