The Holy Spirit

Through the Holy Spirit, God Himself now lives inside every believer, not just watching from a distance. That means we are never alone, and we have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead working in us to shape our character, send us on mission, and unite us to His people.

When life feels like a valley of dry bones — hopeless, dead, over — that's exactly where God shows up. Through Ezekiel's vision of dry bones coming to life, we see that God alone brings life out of hopeless places when we listen to His word, look to His power, and live through His Spirit.

God specializes in bringing life out of what looks like hopeless death, just as He did for the valley of dry bones and for Israel itself. But He doesn't just save us out of death, He also sends us on mission, and refusing that sending is why many believers who know the truth still feel dry and stuck.

Jesus knew He had to leave His disciples, so He gave them hope for the road ahead: a place being prepared for them, the gift of the Holy Spirit as helper, comforter, and advocate, and a peace that doesn't depend on circumstances. That same hope is available to us in our own darkest moments, and God can turn our pain into a stepping stone for ministry rather than a stumbling block.
