Key points
1The Bible's manuscript reliability is the strongest of any ancient document
Pastor Bill explains textual criticism as the historian's method for checking whether we have what was actually written, based on how many manuscript copies exist and how close they are to the original. He compares Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars (10 copies, earliest 1,000 years later) and Homer's Iliad (643 copies, 400 years later) to the New Testament, which has 23,986 copies within thirty years of the originals, calling it the clear, unmatched winner.
when we make a God in our own image, who's really God? We are
2The early church fathers' writings confirm the New Testament text was preserved accurately
He points to men like Polycarp, discipled by John, whose generation left over a million quotations of the New Testament. Piecing those quotes together reproduces the entire New Testament and matches what we have today, undercutting the claim that the text was corrupted through copying.

3The Bible's historical accuracy has repeatedly been vindicated by discovery
Using the account of Jericho's walls falling outward in Joshua 6, he shows how skeptics dismissed the story until a 1930 excavation found the walls had indeed collapsed outward, the city burned, and unlooted grain jars intact, exactly as the text described. He notes over 100 biblical names, places, and events once dismissed as unverifiable have since been confirmed by non-biblical sources.
That story was not believed to be true because it sounded ridiculous, and it was proven true
4Fulfilled prophecy shows the Bible describes history before it happens
He cites over 2,000 prophecies, more than 300 about Jesus, fulfilled with accuracy, and explains that skeptics try to redate the Old Testament later specifically to avoid this implication. As one striking example he points to Ezekiel 37's dry-bones prophecy that scattered Israel would become a nation again, fulfilled in 1948 after nearly 2,000 years, something no other scattered nation in history has done.

5Archaeology keeps confirming what the Bible already said
He notes over 25,000 documented archaeological discoveries confirming Scripture, including the 1994 Tel Dan inscription referencing the 'house of David,' which silenced scholars who had long called King David a myth for lack of outside evidence. He frames this as the 'stones crying out' from Luke 19:40.
You may not wanna believe in the reliability of the Bible, and deny it, and keep quiet, but the dirt cries out

6People resist clear evidence because of pride, not lack of proof
Using the Dunning-Kruger effect and the true story of a bank robber who believed lemon juice made him invisible to cameras, he shows how people double down on being wrong rather than humbly admitting error. He ties this to Romans 1's picture of suppressing the truth because accepting God's Word means being accountable to God.
7The clearest evidence is the transformed lives the Bible produces
He tells the story of the Bounty mutineers on Pitcairn Island, whose self-ruled community collapsed into violence and death until the last survivor found a Bible, was changed by it, and led the whole community to Christ, so that a US ship in 1808 found a God-fearing, loving community transformed by a single Bible.

A story from life

Application
Trust the truth, not the trend of trusting yourself.
Stop trusting your own instincts over God's word
Like the man who ignored IKEA's exit signs, believers often see what God's word says and look for a way around it; instead, follow where it points even when it seems harder.
Look honestly at the evidence instead of suppressing it
Whether skeptic or longtime churchgoer, study the manuscript, historical, prophetic, and archaeological evidence rather than dismissing it out of pride or bias.
Surrender your sin and take Jesus' hand
Pastor Bill asked anyone who has never truly surrendered to Jesus, however many times they've been to church, to raise a hand and pray, handing Him their sin and trusting Him instead of themselves.
