Materialism

God built us with a longing for eternity that only He can fill, so chasing pleasure, wealth, or control for meaning will always leave us wanting more. Solomon proved this by getting everything a person could want and finding it meaningless, but when we love God fully and live His way, even the small, temporary pleasures of life become truly satisfying.

True satisfaction isn't found by getting more of life "under the sun" — money, wisdom, pleasure, success — because God built us with an eternal longing only He can fill. When we have the courage to trust God with our lives instead of chasing more, the things of this world stop being burdens and become gifts we can actually enjoy.
