Relationships

Conflict is inevitable in every relationship, but it doesn't have to become destructive. Proverbs pictures conflict like a dam under pressure: dealt with early, it can be released safely, but ignored long enough, it bursts and destroys everything in its path. Ephesians 4 gives a practical way to release that pressure well before it breaks.

Conflict in our homes and relationships isn't ultimately caused by our differences with other people — it's caused by conflicting, twisted desires at war within each of us. The hope is that when we humble ourselves before God, surrender, resist the enemy, draw close to Him, and forgive, He lifts us up and real peace becomes possible.
