Our money expresses what we believe.

God offers a life that truly satisfies, but it's easy to keep putting Him off until later — through college, career, marriage, kids — and wake up one day having drifted. Ecclesiastes 12 calls us to remember our Creator now, developing a healthy fear of who God is and trusting His love enough to obey Him, so we become better rather than bitter with age.

God doesn't promise that following Him is easy, only that it's better, and that better is eternal. Like Jesus in the garden, like David facing Goliath, we each come to a moment where trusting God with our finances and our lives feels scary — but that's exactly where victory and blessing are found.

Jesus offers us an entirely new way to be human: not chasing loopholes to satisfy the letter of the law, but letting the Holy Spirit produce a supernatural love in us that even loves enemies. We can't do this on our own, but what's impossible with man is possible with God, and He invites us to become the innkeepers who use what He's given us to restore broken people around us.

True satisfaction isn't found by getting more of life "under the sun" — money, wisdom, pleasure, success — because God built us with an eternal longing only He can fill. When we have the courage to trust God with our lives instead of chasing more, the things of this world stop being burdens and become gifts we can actually enjoy.
