Work as Worship

Work fills half our waking life, and it was never meant to be either something to escape or the thing that defines us. When we offer our work to God as worship rather than demanding it give us identity or avoiding it altogether, we get to experience it as the gift He designed it to be.

Joseph's story shows that God is present with us even when life looks nothing like the dream we imagined. Rather than chasing or resenting our circumstances, we are called to be faithful exactly where God has us, trusting Him with the timing and outcome of our future.

We're all stuck in a Groundhog Day, chasing meaning through work, achievement, and things that can never satisfy the eternity God planted in our hearts. The good news is Jesus can redeem our work when we stop asking it to give us identity and security, and instead choose to do it all for Him.
